Real Estate Property Taxes
There is a real estate tax in Ross Township and it is collected by the elected tax collector. She collects the County, Municipal, and School taxes and remits the monies directly to each taxing body.
County/Township bills mailed out March 1st and your School bill mailed out August 1st.
For 2022 There are No real estate taxes to be paid to Ross Township. However, the County and School still must be paid. All tax bills go to the homeowners NOT the mortgage companies. For additional tax information contact Tax Collector Laura Hoffman

Snow Removal
Please note that the Crimes Code § 5507 (a) and the Second Class township Code at §2326 (53 P.S. § 67326) make it a violation for individuals to place materials or items of personality in the right-of-way and to thereby obstruct the snow removal and plowing operations of the Township.

Building Permits New State Law
The State mandated Uniform Construction Code is now in effect in Ross Township. This involves new procedures and fees for new construction, remodeling, and some repairs which require permits and will be under enforcement by a code official appointed by Ross Township.

Office of Open Records
The Office was created as the result of Senate Bill1, Session of 2007; Act 3 2008 know as the “Right -to-Know Law” The purpose of the legislation was to provide greater access to public information, provide for an appeal procedure if access is denied and to impose penalties.
In compliance with Pennsylvania Right-to-Know Law, the Township has a policy in place for access to public records by any citizen requesting to view or purchase copies of Township records. There is a form that must be completed and will be reviewed by the Open Records Officer and the requester shall receive a response within 5 business days.
If the access request is approved, the public record shall be available during business hours, Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with the exception of holidays. Should you request photocopies, facsimile, certified copies, and copies of CD of any document, there will be a fee charged, plus mailing costs, if applicable.
If the request is denied, the requester will receive a notice and the reason for denial and the right to appeal.
